Cancellations, Refunds, & Schedule Changes

Choose your registrations carefully! Only partial refunds are available on some courses and changes to schedules require a fee.

Schedule Changes

Students may make changes to classes already scheduled up to two weeks prior to the class start date.

Schedule changes will not typically be available after that two-week limit; however, if you have an extenuating circumstance, do reach out with an explanation and we will work to find a solution.
Any schedule change requires a $25 fee per class and a class can only be changed once.
No schedule changes are available on the following low-enrollment live courses:
- Addiction Counseling Skills
- Motivational Interviewing
- Advanced Motivational Interviewing
- Group Counseling Skills
- Clinical Supervision I
- Clinical Supervision II

Cancellations & Refunds

Students may cancel a class registration up to two weeks prior to the class start date, with the following refund options:

You may apply your full payment to another class for just the schedule change fee of $25 (note funds can be transferred to a different class only one time)
You may request a full refund by check, less a $25 processing fee plus the credit card fee (if applicable)
You may request a credit card refund, less a $25 processing fee
No refunds are available on the following low-enrollment live courses:

- Motivational Interviewing
- Advanced Motivational Interviewing
- Group Counseling Skills
- Clinical Supervision I
- Clinical Supervision II

Courses are offered online or live via Zoom. I understand the requirements for participating in the online and Zoom classes and have read how those delivery methods work as published on the website and repeated below.(Required)

How our online courses work:

Courses are NOT self-directed.
- Students get a syllabus with due dates for readings, forum posts, and written assignments.
  1. Learning materials must be read before engaging in the written material.
  2. Late submission can result in a big loss of points and can result in not passing the class.
  3. An hour a day should be set aside for coursework, this can be any time of the day or night.
- Student engagement is monitored by consulting activity logs.
- Courses can be worked from a computer or tablet but not cell phones. Cell contacts do not record in activity logs and any work done on a cell phone will have to be redone.
Online lessons contain live links to materials on the internet and elsewhere. Courses must be worked online to access these materials, which are an important part of the learning.
Instructors actively participate throughout the course.
A new student orientation is provided virtually at noon on the first day of all online courses and need only be attended once. Students are strongly encouraged to attend to familiarize themselves with the training shell. This is the only time students are asked to meet face-to-face during online classes.
Students must have a score of 70% or more on the course material to sit for the final exam, and a score of 70% or more on the final exam to pass the course.

Hybrid courses provide flexibility as they save one day away by providing one week of instruction online (instead of one day in person) followed by a live two-day section delivered via Zoom, and satisfactory completion of both sections is required to pass the course.

How our live courses work:

All live courses are taught via Zoom. Students will need the following:

A computer with a videocam and working speakers. (Screens on tablets tend to be too small for this application.)
High-speed, reliable internet.
A quiet room where you can be alone for two days during class time. Please do not do this from your living room or anywhere the family hangs out. The space needs to be quiet and private. We suggest you sit at a desk or in an office chair rather than on a couch or a bed so you can stay present.
Print all the handouts requested in the course and have them ready ahead of time.
Headphones or earbuds will give you the best experience but are not required.
Be signed into the meeting room no later than 8:15 a.m. on your first day of class. The meeting room will be open by 8 a.m. each day.
A score of 70% on the final exam to pass the course.

We will provide you:

A dedicated link for Zoom each day.
Technical assistance (to the best of our ability) to get started the first day.

Live training days run 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Classes will be funded three at a time. Funds run out quickly and Seven Cedars makes no guarantees of funding for any future classes beyond your first three.
