Our Mission

 

Seven Cedars Training, LLC, doing business as Seven Cedars Live & Online Training, is committed to providing the highest quality live, online, and hybrid certified addiction counselor training available; delivered in the most convenient, cost-effective, and user-friendly manner anywhere in Colorado.

 

Our online training offers the advantages of flexible scheduling, greater accessibility, cost effectiveness, and meets the requirements of the CAC Clinical Training Program at the Colorado Behavioral Health Authority.

 

Hybrid classes enable students to study didactic material online for week, then have two days of virtual live practice via Zoom.

 

Live classes meet Colorado BHA requirements for more advanced and skills-based courses. All of our live classes are offered virtually via Zoom or other meeting platforms.

 

Our instructors are BHA-approved leaders in the addiction treatment field with a strong commitment to workforce development and keeping the field fresh, energized, and viable.

 

Our Team

 

Stacey Foss, MA, LAC, has worked in the field of behavioral health since 2002, becoming a Licensed Counselor in the State of Colorado in 2006 after graduating with a Masters of Science in Addiction Counseling. Stacey has worked in outpatient, inpatient treatment and correctional settings as both a clinician and supervisor. She is a Certified Child Welfare Supervisor and is currently a Provisionally Approved Domestic Violence treatment provider in Colorado. She has been an approved trainer for the Certified Addictions Counselor program since 2007 and also provides training in other fields related to substance use disorders, motivational interviewing, and child welfare. Stacey is the owner of Authentic Solutions Consulting, where she and staff provide a variety of outpatient treatment services.

 

Linda Lute, LAC, MAC, has nearly three decades of experience working in the behavioral health field. Ms. Lute is currently the owner of Life Path, LLC, providing psychotherapy, training, and consulting.  She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including a private psychiatric hospital, non-profit crisis center, homeless shelter, group home, and community behavioral health center, serving all age ranges and economic backgrounds.  Since 1984 she has provided training on a wide variety of subjects, including required certified addiction counselor classes, integrated healthcare, and Crisis Intervention Team training for law enforcement.   When not industriously working, she can be found camping, hiking and rock hunting in the western half of the country, or just reading on the front porch.

 

 

 

Abby Kubicek

Abby Kubicek, LCSW, LAC, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor from Durango, Colorado. She has been working in the human services field since the age of 19 and has worked in inpatient settings, crisis, the criminal justice system, and more. Abby now professionally splits her time between working in private practice at Durango Relationship Counseling, teaching, and working on her Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology. She is passionate about helping professionals become more adept in the addiction field and learning best practices to help their clients.

 

 

 

Kathy Capps, LPC, LAC has more than 20 years of experience in the field of mental health and substance use treatment.   Kathy has worked in many different settings, including private practice, residential, crisis center, schools, and community mental health center outpatient clinics.  Kathy is an advocate for reducing the stigma associated with seeking care for any behavioral health issue.     

Kathy enjoys helping individual practitioners develop their skill set so that they can become confident and competent in the practice of addiction treatment. She enjoys living and working on her small hobby farm, where she raises beef cattle, goats, pigs, horses and the occasional chicken.
