CAC Specialist/LAC course, 2 days live

The Clinical Supervision II class builds upon the basic supervision skills introduced in Clinical Supervision I. The focus in Clinical Supervision I was on the relationship between the client and the supervisee, the focus in Clinical Supervision II will be on the relationship between the supervisor and the supervisee. We will explore learning tools for providing enhanced, supervisee-specific, setting-sensitive (e.g., group vs. individual supervision, agency settings) feedback in order to coach supervisees. Participants will discuss the integration of modalities of treatment (e.g., MI, ACT, CBT, narrative) within the use of developmental, treatment-based, recovery-based, integrative, and competency-based modalities of supervision. Similar to all other CAC classes, there is a focus on offering treatment services in a manner that respects gender, race and ethnicity, sexual orientation, familial, systemic, socioeconomic and other cultural diversity.
